Is it just me or has the preview quality of the clips been downgraded with the release of 1.0 Some of my clips seem to look a lot worse then they used to ....
Also, I seem to quite often get the message "get the Flash Player to view this clip" I keep installing it, but the message keeps coming back.

The window of the preview is bigger so the old previews looks worse. We are however reconverting, using a better codec, in two sizes. The small size looks better than our old previews and the bigger size (which is not much bigger resolution wise) has more than twice the bitrate than the small version.
There are at the moment three plus one server involved in converting the clips so where we are at the moment has three answers. Roughly we're at least at id 82000.
We have our in-house preview player. It is made for flash 9 and not all edges are polished yet. The advantage of our own player is that we could do things like "related clips" like youtube and others have. At the same time, to ensure more complex debugging, we changed the javascript one uses to get around a braindead patent aimed at Microsoft and Internet Explorer.
Where do you see the "get the Flash Player" messages? On the item page? What browser (+ version) and operating system (+ version) do you use?
Best regards,
Marcus

I am using IE 7. I see the message where the preview goes, on the preview page. It is not consistant. Sometimes I get it, sometimes I don't. Those times that I get it I see a very slow progress bar at the bottom of IE, which may mean that it is not a Flash issue as much as a connection speed issue, although I have one of the fastest connection speeds possible..... It just seems to hang sometimes. In the same way, there are times that the "widget" does not come up for me.

Get the same message sometimes, mostly when I browse (here) on more than one window (what I prefer). The message comes up on any kind of window (here) who has a preview inside. I’m on XP SP2 and tested with IE7, Firefox and SlimBrowser.
