Why would this be rare footage? Muslims have been slaughtering their animals in this prescribed manner for some time right? Is there something that prohibits the practice from being filmed?

It's rare because it's hard to find. I am not aware of such stock footage elsewhere.

Hmm...Strange isn't it that there are video shots of exploded muslims / terrorists but no so much on how they slaughter their animals?

Slaughter Search Results on Pond5.com has brought up 310 video clips at least similar in the cruelty degree. I cannot watch any of it to make a comparison. One could try it for him/herself

I've not watched it myself either. I read about their "Kosher" methods for killing animals while some prayer is recited either in person or via some kind of recording for slaughter houses.

If you go to Haiti, you can ask a "pakua" to bite off the head of a chicken during a voodoo ritual. I have only seen this once, filmed by a crew from Spain.
