Why are my clips only 960 x 540?

I am new here and I am struggling with the uploading of my videos.

To begin, I shot my clips in HD 1920 on a Canon HG10.
I uploaded my clips with the "Export using Quicktime" feature in imovie.
Now that the clips have come back to me to be tagged they say "Multimedia 960 x 540"

Have I done something wrong? I would like to post my clips at the HD 1920 level. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi There

Check the original files you uploaded, and give us whatever information you can about them - frame size, codec, filesize.

The exporter through iMovie isn't the best one to use for professional conversions, it's quite likely that sending it through their one-size-fits-all conversion system would cause some wonky problems with your footage. Perhaps try converting your files to photojpeg through http://www.squared5.com/ using the instructions on our https://www.pond5.com/document/video_requirements.html.

I had the same problem.

QuickTime exports based on the current window size. so if your video is 1920x1080, and you resize it on screen so you can view it, it gets exported at the size you viewed it at, not at the original file size.

you probably selected the view as half size option, and then it exported the videos at half the size.
