Biologist | Macro Cinematographer | Bug Nerd I’m a biologist and aquatic entomologist who films the tiny, fascinating creatures that most people never see—freshwater bugs and invertebrates. I capture close-up footage that reveals the hidden world just beneath the water’s surface. I’m especially into documenting real behaviors in natural settings. Available for filming, consulting, or helping tell science-based stories about freshwater ecosystems.

Juvenile Giant Water Bug Feeding on a Minnow
Juvenile Giant Water Bug (Lethocerus americanus) underwater feeding on a minnow. This series shows the full behavioral sequence: lying in wait, prey capture, immobilization, feeding, and discarding the empty husk. There is some great footage of the stylet probing just under the skin as it injects digestive enzymes and sucks out the liquefied contents, gradually draining the minnow down to an empty husk.
