GPP sales of 4k clip for $7.69. WTF is this?

"We as contributors can no longer OPT out of those programs"
Is that a result of recent changes to the Contributor Agreement?

So I read through what I could find here concerning GPP and LLP licensing. It starts out with:
Pond5 engages in programs that expand the reach of your sales potential to global partners, Enterprise clients, and creators around the world. You may see sales from these programs noted on your dashboard. Here’s a summary of what each of those programs is all about.
I read the entire section on this but nowhere did it warn us that the buyers can set their own prices and basically circumvent the deal us new contributors thought we had to license our content on Pond5 for a reasonable price.
This all goes back to how alarmed a seasoned veteran such as the OP could be at this program. Is this something new?

I will probably remove my best footage from Pond5 in the next months.
This is madness…

So how does it work with GPP alliance partners? Do our clips get shown there like they do here? Do the partners pay P5 for the privilege of hosting our clips? Do the partners wholesale take "possession" of our clips to do with as they please, at whatever price they choose?
Bottom line, what does "Exclusive" really mean to us as contributors?

Yes - transparency and clarity with regard to GPP and Exclusivity, etc. needs to be forthcoming from P5 after the recent contributor contract changes.

Right now, for exclusive content there is just better royalty percentage and almost nothing else...

So...is Pond5 now more or less a wholesaler of content? They bring us in then farm our content out and that's basically their business model? Sure, 60% is a good deal at face value but in reality the next guy is paying $10 because he saw our clip at some "affiliated partner"?

I really hope I'm not being too paranoid here but: if we sign on as Exclusive (I did), that means we haven't put our content on other websites. That in reality benefits P5 in that now THEY can de facto put our stuff on other websites and get a cut, ya know, being a wholesaler and all. If the possibility of our making reasonable cash money from the deal was real (and not the OP's penneys payment), I'd have less to be paranoid about.
Could someone from Pond5 come on here and lay to rest my fears?

@singletrack500m572 Under the new contributors agreement the opt out option for both GPP & LLP was removed from our account preferences. GPP partners could (not the buyers) change the sale prices lower than what we set them for both HD and 4K footage. For instance your HD clip on P5 sell $229 but the GPP partner list that very same clip for $90 and their commission to the artist is 30% + any vat (taxes) then P5 takes cut and you get the rest. Now does that make sense?

GPP Partner Adobe Stock recently announced their new subscription plans which include some video. Wonder if Adobe will/can put P5 contributor footage into their subscription offerings? So many questions... and so little clarity.
