Need help for QuickTime Pro.

I have not own this software yet, but wonder if it can render MOV H.264 (Quicktime codec h.264) format? It seems that file size is much smaller than QT.
What is the newest version?
Any thought!

Hi, Pat!
Try MpegStreamclip (http://www.squared5.com/) it renders H.264 format OK and it is FREE.

Zygis,
I can edit the original file MOV h.264 with my Magix software to MOV only. It is quick big. Is there anything codes call MOV h.264 ? In fact, this MOV h.264 ended with .MOV. So I do not know if there is another codes calls MOV h.264??
I had this Streamclip freeware too. It can only render to MPEG4, not MOV h.264.

What is the meaning of Key frame every (15) frames in the compression settings?

Strangely, with this Key frame every (15) frames the file size reduct dramatically. Is it correct so.

Basically, keyframes are frames with the least compression applied. If you set keyframes every 15 frames, every 15th frame is a high-quality frame. Frames in between aren't given as much priority, and their compression relates to the most recent keyframe (i.e., how much did this frame change from the last?)

The more keyframes you give, the better the quality, and the bigger the file.

Odesigns,
How many frame should I set?? Is 15 a OK number. With 15 frames I can reduce quite a lot of file size. It is like 1:5 .

Thanks
Pat
