Maybe when I have time. I am off on the road this coming week for a workshop. Gonna try to shoot some stuff. But I gotta say, why would I even want to take a photo with the AX-100? That's not what I would use that camera for ever. The RX10ii on the other hand shoots nice stuff I am sure. Just haven't had lots of time as I purchased the RX10ii for HFR stuff specifically. And just for fun, here are some more goodies:

Andy, are you selling these as 1080? They are highly upscaled to that in the camera. I wouldn't go above 240fps -> 1080p with this camera... they look fine small like this in the sample videos but the quality isn't where it needs to be at full 1080. That's just my opinion in selling this stuff. It's a fun toy to play with and do some neat youtube clips at 960, but for stock stay at 240 or below.

Scott - don't you think Sony has built in algorithms to manage this properly? Do what you feel is best. As far as I am concerned the output from the camera is excellent and it defaults to that output rez because the mfg (in this case Sony) has good reason to. You need to stop counting rivets and put a little more faith into the manufacturer. I have no idea where you are getting your info from, and really could care less. So chill and stop worrying about this. Just shut up and go shoot something (with a camera, that is). ;)

I own the SONY FS700 and I understand the way the slow motion is generated form the sensor. It is the same for the rx10ii.
In certain situations it is okay or good enough, but it is far from 1080p @ 960fps. You'll get tons of banding and weird edge highlight issues. I recommend staying at 240 fps and you don't lose the horizontal resolution and can get away as 1080p.
I'm going to shut up and go eat dinner now :-). Is there a book I can red for that?

You dont need to be a sony expert to open the manual and read that (in quality mode, forget time mode) 480fps is sd resolution and 960 is 380p,all these upscaled (horribly) to 1080p.
But it doesnt matter, if there is a market for pixelated super slowmotion pseudo-hd there are always these who will find it first.
And then some of us will try to follow and fail miserably as it usually happens.
Oh the reality.....

Andy,
I don't see an advantage to use such a slow motion for butterfly. Some of my butterfly and sports shot are 100fps FHD is very good, but for other subjects like water drop, gun shooting etc may be slower the better. IMO

I actually decided to go with the RX100 IV pocket model. It shares a lot of the features of the RX10 (slowmotion, same sensor, 4K), although it obviously lacks the zoom range. I hope it will be a nice companion to my AX100 which remains my 'run and gun' camera.

@patuwe - I leave it at the highest speed as the buyer can then speed it up to their content. I still wonder what you guys are looking at when reviewing the footage? It looks perfectly fine at full size on any monitor. No pixelization yada yada... perhaps if you actually owned such a camera and actually really tested these features you may actually have a point. But I am so glad I don't care about any of these "opinions", as that is all they really are.

From what I have seen the RX10 only has problems with waterfalls.
