Stupid rejection reasons...

"Thanks for the upload but we have decided not to include these videos as part of our collection. We have too many other similar clips in our collection and we are seeking uniquely original and vibrant content. Please let us know if you have any questions."
Regarding such stupidity in reviewer heads I am not sure I should upload anything here anymore.
This rejection is on 100% of my content which contained 4K UHD clips...
One of those clips is editorial of playing arcade game on JUST LAUNCHED Samsung S7 Edge cellphone...
Nevertheless, it took me 2 DAYS to upload those 14 clips to Pond5... And someone decided that there is no need for such clips...
Guys, I am with you since 2007. Please tell me if I should stay or should I go? This new reviewers are just stupid as rocks!
Cheers!

This is quite amusing.
I've just received rejections of two tracks I uploaded to pond5.
Why so funny?
These tracks are 0:15 sec edits of ALREADY ACCEPTED tracks in my portfolio with a standard rejection message referring to them as though they are brand new full length tracks?!
I'm in two minds whether these were actually listened to as they're obvious 15 sec edits and labelled accordingly.
We'll see what SUPPORT say...

Their only rule of selection is the quantity of footage they receive every day, so... it's frustrating for us playing at russian roulette.
I think I'll stop ti upload.

I guess many artists will give up to upload at some point..inconsistent and unprofessional rejections make it hard to understand what upload or not...

The curational issues/rejections are indeed puzzling, i had a photograph of a 1960's snowman rejected with the reasoning that "it will confuse viewers".
The worst one was rejection of a 1934 clip of various people, the curator insisted that I provide a model release. Good luck!, (they are all 6ft under the ground now!).
It would be great if accounts with material that is selling and has good standing could be pooled to specific curators so that you could build up a relationship with them and they understood the subject matter you deal with to further refine the market, and uploads to what actually sells.
Its a real pain to continually wait over 3 months for curation, only to have material rejected and have to explain to all over again to support why that should not have happened, and wait another period again until it gets approved.
At times clients have got so frustrated, as have we, that we have sold clips directly outside pond5 (and at the same price), because it was just taking too long to get them online.

Hey folks - just reiterating some exciting news from our curation lead, Simon - he's currently working on an extensive guide which will help you better predict what our curators are looking for, and how to understand their growing and evolving standards.
If you get a truly weird rejection, please do sent it on over to support@pond5.com with the curator number and clip numbers, and we will happily look into it and give it a second pass if necessary.

The whole thing here becomes more and more weird!
Tell me only one logical or understandable reason why a curator reviews only 1 single clip although nearly 100 are pending.

Uh ... "...what our curators are looking for ..." ??
What about our valued clients/customers? Don't they have a say?
Respectfully curious...

@Mizamook, Sounds like the company is going in a different direction. My worst stuff sells and probably because it fits with someone's less than perfect work, not everyone has a $50,000 camera and $20,000 tripod, I do news, weather, events and some of it is even hand held, just as I got on a roll all this happened with the sales stoppage around March 11 and now the new curation rules.
Even if there was another site out there that was as good as Pond 5 I don't have a fibre connection and the ability to tag and title 34,000 clips overnight. Pond5 yielded the best sales out of all the sites and now I've lost 75% if not more of my income overnight. This is brutal and I wasn't quite expecting it as things finally had started to pick up for me last October and I actually enjoyed the work, that's what makes this even worse.

I wonder if this nature clip timelapse would be rejected nowadays .. it's a great clip ..., I'll freely admit, crafted with the finest attention to detail .. and someone paid $479 for it (thank you!) But it does make me curious .. should I upload it again and rename it to see if the new curation rules (rich chicks shopping with ipads only) would reject it now?
