Aftermath of Pakistan floods 2010
The 2010 Pakistan floods began in late July 2010, resulting from heavy monsoon rains in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Punjab and Balochistan regions of Pakistan and affected the Indus River basin. At one point, about 20 percent of the entire country's landmass was underwater. Previous to these floods, a massive landslide took place near the town of Attabad in January of the same year. This created an artificial lake causing complete flooding of many villages in the North of the country. This video contains clips where some of the aftermath is visible. Aid, mostly coming from China, is making its way across the lake, where tractors and local jeeps carry it down dusty roads into the Hunza valley.
