@talekeeper, it's already in effect. You can leave, they don't give a shit about you or me or any composer on this site. I agree that the publishing thing is a complete ruse. If they were serious about their music contributors they would have offered an exclusive option. The fact that they didn't and video makers have that option speaks volumes.

Oh, and btw, those who are collecting royalties through a PRO know that it takes a long time to see any payment, up to 2 years from being broadcast. In that time the management will probably run this place straight into the ground the way they're running things now, so there's really no point in getting into this publishing deal.

I thought about raising my prices, but it’ll likely make the tracks harder to sell. And if somehow it works, P5 is the one that makes out at my expense. I’d rather pull everything, regroup, and explore a smarter approach.

This can't be stated enough... this isn't a 15% cut, it's a 30% reduction to contributors' split. I don't care how much you love the work you do, that's crazy. If I walked into my day job and they told me I was taking a 30% cut, that'd be the last day I worked there.

Just increased all prices by %50. I don't care if I lose customers, All the hard work and hope I put into pond5 is literally just got insulted. It's time to make big decisions now.
