Micro SD card recovery

My GoPro had a total loss accident (I'm OK). The card does not contain the actual rare footage of the accident, because the shooting was terminated abnormally when the battery was ejected. Is there any tool that can recover the hidden file? Thanks.

The lens of another GoPro is scratched. GoPro does not fix cameras. Is it really a disposable camera?

Two issues you bring up. The first, yes most or many SD / CF cards have a recovery program that is installed at the factory on the card. If not go the manufacturers web site, good chance you can download the recovery program.

Second, GoPro does sell replacement lens kits. I've bought them before.

Don,

Thanks for the idea regarding the software.
Regarding the lens, I am not talking about the lens of the housing, for which I also own a kit. I am talking about the actual lens of the camera, which is not consumer serviceable.

Any solution?

Few times I recovered contents of CF and HDD using the http://www.quetek.com/prod02.htm software - the best I know.
Zygis

Zygis, in the "File systems" I don't see exFAT, which is the format of GoPro cards. I'll try the demo anyway.

I checked the File Scavenger, it does not support the exFAT type of partitions, sorry.
But here is another good software http://www.diskinternals.com/uneraser/ - may be it can help.
BTW: I always format GoPro micro-SD cards with FAT32 and it works OK.

Thanks, I'll try. I believe the GoPro3 at 64GB sees only exFat.

You are right about 32GB partition limit of FAT32 file system.

If the camera is less than a year old (maybe even a little ore) they will probably cover it under warrantee. Otherwise ya I guess it a disposable camera like almost all other point and shoot cameras.
