Where is Batch Tag Video????

Well Jonathan said he can't see it either. I just uploaded a screen grab as a photo to P5. Waiting for it to process and I'll show it.

I've just spoken with the team, and it turns out that we did change those options from "batch tag ..." to "apply ... template". It's rolling out in waves, so that's why wideweb still sees the old option. By the end of the day, that will probably be gone for everyone.

I'm being told that it was really and largely just a change in name. Functionally, it's the same. If you're having trouble with your templates, Rekindle, take some screenshots and send us a message in support. I'll watch out for your ticket, and see what I can do to help.

Ya really should STOP the roll-out. It is broke and therefore batch tagging or using templates does not work. Thy it yourself.

When hitting "apply 4K template" it goes to list. The only one showing is the one I deleted because it was the only one showing. I re-booted and same. The only template is the one deleted. It does not allow me on the click down menu to select the one that is needed.

Having to save templates is not good for everyone. The old batch tag was very very useful and other than the bad pricing was very good to use.

If the same happens to others who have saved a lot of templates there will be fire and flames if they can't select the new made templates.

Stop the roll-out, restore the old way and really test it. Remember what Beta testing is supposed to do. A simple beta test would have saved this frustration.

I appreciate your frustration Rekindle, but we did and do have testing protocols for this stuff and we didn't, and still don't, see the issues you described. Please do take some screenshots and send in a detailed message to support. I'll be happy to take the ticket myself, and make sure everything is working the way it needs to for you. If something is broken, then we obviously need as many details about that as we can get to help correct the problem quickly.

Is anyone else experiencing the issues described above by Rekindle?

Jonathan, I just sent a support message describing the steps that cause the problem where Template function no longer works or can be selected correctly. Deleted Templates still show and they are the only ones that can be selected for actual use. . From every try I've done today it looks like I need to do one clip at a time. That is a horrible thought and very expensive in time and lost sales. Hope you can see the issue and can help me understand what I need to do.

I can now see both Templates. One is under Footage Templates and the other under Footage (4k) templates. I deleted one of them earlier so no idea how it got to show again in a different template location.

Both were under 4K templates, that is where I deleted it from. At first both were visible together.

There is a 'set downconverted price' which only updates the HD price.

The batch tag is not the same as using a template as it is now. Using a template takes more time to build it, name it then selecting it; changing pages. Batch tag was simply building it and using it. Template has it's place but Batch Tag also had it place. If P5 wants to improve the data input then they should put the model and property release on the data input page. That would make it more intuitive ... but that has been asked for for years and no answer. Leave it on a completely separate page if P5 wants but changes should make things easier, less page changes for Artists. It just seem silly that changes the Artists are asking for never happen and we are always surprised.

In the beginning of P5 when an Artist made a suggestion it was implemented within an hour or two, Many data input changes happened within this short time when an Artist made a suggestion. Ya I know it's more complicated now with millions of products versus then with a couple thousand.

Simple concept for the Artist input pages ... On the parts that are not broken don't fix them. Change for change sake is not needed on the Artist page. It can be as ugly as the south end of a north bound dog as long as it's easy, simple, fast with fewer page changes needed. Work is needed on the buyers pages, they are stagnant, not eye catching, and items like Backlots with little need are taking up so much real estate. Again the buyers page should be vibrant and eye catching. For anyone looking at it, it is dreary and flat, and pushes a few individuals with small portfolios instead of the great gallery that makes up P5.

An example is "Mad Men a final farewell". Takes up a lot of real estate for 30 products that really doesn't make much sense on why they are even highlighted. Same for many more big windows. Makes P5 gallery look small and insignificant.


Thanks for giving us more control over our pricing. I made a global change but it does not appear it affects the long waiting "pending" list. Do the changes only affect newly edited and already approved footage?

An example is "Mad Men a final farewell". Takes up a lot of real estate for 30 products that really doesn't make much sense on why they are even highlighted.

I cannot imagine using a template - it takes to much time and one day I will have hundreds of templates to choose from.
Some templates will be duplicated (created twice) - for HD and 4K.
I have almost 200 clips to tag and I am waiting for the menus to roll back to "Batch tag video".
