Just announced. Quiet Auto-focus in video mode!?

Will the new 60D have video auto-focus too? I was going to buy a T2i. Now I have to think it over. Those flexible cables on a "rotary" LCD only last for 5 years.

I was hours away from picking up a T3i, I am now waiting to weigh the options. It is about a $300.00 upgrade from the T3i, not too shabby. Or, the T3i's and T2i's will drop slightly in price.
Really like the addition of the auto focus, the recording times, and swivel screen for sure.

What in the heck is Canon thinking? Upgrade the MK III then come out with better features on the cheap plastic body. Must be radiation poising in Japan that has messed up their thought processes.

I believe this T4i is a move to grab more market share from Panasonic's GH2 and to compete with other DSRL that offer auto-focus during video like Sony's A65 and A77. I wonder when will it be available on stores.

Already planning my upgrade. I just shot a wedding and I'm using the profit from that plus selling my T2i to get the T4i.

I think I'll buy this camera first and then start saving for a Blackmagic Cinema Camera.

I wonder what are going to be the new changes on the 60D.

The big questions on the T4i for me...
Do we now have access to intermediate/native ISOs? Can it be programmed to use the shutter button to start recording footage? Will Magic Lantern be made available for it?

Intermediate ISOs:
100 200 400 800 1600 3200 6400 are available in movie mode.
100 200 400 800 1600 3200 6400 12800 are available in still mode.
Can it be programmed to use the shutter button to start recording footage?
Not so far as I can tell
Quiet autofocus in video is relative to the lens I have not purchased the 18-135 lens that was designed for the T4i so I am not getting much quiet. That purchase will be coming a a week or so.

My big question is if it has same or better video quality than the T3i with that new sensor.
