Mp4 or mov? What prefer buyers?

Hello P5 members,

I'm relatively new here and since I upload my first time here, I converted my clips from mov to mp4. I had also some sales but in the last time I saw on other platforms that the mov format is their guideline. Should I upload my files in mov format? Or is the mp4 format enough for buyers?

Thank for your answers

You better stick to MOV, because some platforms won't accept MP4 at all.

Thank you for the answer.

the problem is, if a make my corrections at the clip and render it to mov in after effects, the clip is after that 2-3 gb big. To upload this clip to p5 I need several hours or the upload get crashed cause of the big size. So I must encode the clips to mp4

Are you using photo jpeg as codec??mov is just a container...to me 20sec. Footage in photojpeg is about 400/500 mb..

You can select what your output Module -- Format as QuickTime (choose either PhotoJpeg or H264) at rendering Queue.

For quality reasons I rather export in .mp4. Sorry, but quicktime Jpeg mov is so fucked up, that it's a shame anyone even using it.

P5 don't accept Mpeg4, SS does.
Mov h264 is the best combination for our purpose, it is smaller than PhotoJpeg and better quality. IMO

Sure it does accept. All stock agencies accept h264 .mp4, except for shitty iS.

I mistakenly upload mp4 to P5, was rejected before. Now they changed and mp4 is OK ...

I think photojpeg is more editable,h264 it's highly comprossed format not easy to edit...
