Alright I broke down and bought the DS-1 kit with the dual handles. I balanced it before power on and pretty sure it's pretty close to balanced. When turned on I get a vibration in every mode. Not a chatter but mild vibration. The noise from the vibration can be heard in the video. Not a lot of visible movement from the vibration but some.
I know this gadget does take a lot of practice to use correctly. What do ya'll that own one think the problem is? Is a mild vibration normal?

Close to balanced is not good enough. In addition you might need PID tuning tweaks. Welcome to Hell.

There is a little metal button in front of the camera sled.
When the gimbal is turned on, press that 3 times fast.
The gimbal should beep.
See if that takes out the vibrations.
What camera are you using in it?

For first try I used the Sony RX-10 II with the zoom at minimum and LCD closed. I really just wanted to use the small Sonys on it and keep the 1DX for tripod and handheld.
I see they are pre-order the new EC-1 that will take cameras from 2 to 5 pounds. Should have waited a few weeks and got the one to do the 1DX MK II.
I'll try the suggestion Jake.

That should work
I believe that Rx10 is a pretty light camera. That mode I mention is for light weight cameras.
I even had that issue with my Sony a7s2 until I added weight with the wireless follow focus adaptor.

I had concerns about micro jitters and set up so I got a DJI Osmo instead, it works great for run and gun no jitters.

+1 for the osmo with x5 setup. works great and the video and gimble can be controlled on the fly with the phone.
I sold the ronin after getting the osmox5.

How does that Osmo work in wind (as in can you hold it out window of car on highway?)
How did yours work out, Don?

@Miz I held the Osmo through an open car sunroof while a friend drove the car on a highway around 80 kph and the footage is smooth, wasn't much effort to hold it either as it has a small profile, hopefully clips will be a approved soon here. Encouraged by the clips I went ahead and bought the vehicle mount, x-axis and another two batteries (4 in total), and the plastic stand so I could do slider shots on table tops, I have the original X3. I sold My first Osmo clip a day after it being approved at another site.

Works great. This is me holding the Osmo out of an Uber car in Manhattan:
