Does naming your clips help with finding your clips?

I've also seen a lot of footage sell (some very high priced) with no keywords at all.

@jason,

Yes the clip has keywords now. i also had to recheck the rest and give them a more keyword rich title, one that is more logical as kk5hy just mentioned.

I think the title is actually part of the search as you can put unique words in it and test that with an internal search. Try it. Seems to be the case. Why wouldn't it be? The file ID... now that is still iffy in my mind.

The file name for my fractals often includes "apo3D" or "apoStandard" which if searched for should yield the majority of my uploads. Or a search for my name "Bruce Berryhill" or "allfractup". But those last two examples are just because I include those in my keywords.

naming is very important

Do you think it's a waste to spend hours and hours getting the right keywords, and focus on the description/title instead?
dapoopta 8 Apr 2012 23:57
invest in the keywords... put small amount of time into the title and description.

Thanks! So far I've spent a considerable number of evenings and weekends keywording, would be a shame if the description/title have (much) more weight.

@ stefhoffer, Well one can spend a lot of time keywording ones clips but keyword do not carry any weight in a Google search as do titles/descriptions. So which would you rather spend more time and effort on. Do a search on Google using one of your titles and see what happens.

@ naturalbydesign, Yes Arcurs keywording system is easy to use and saves alot of time
