Green screen test

I guess you probably already are aware of these but anyway. There are a few sites which have a subscription model where you pay ~$25/month to see instructional videos on demand. We usually alter between http://www.vtc.com/ and http://www.lynda.com. The first few lessons are usually free so you can get an idea of if this is something that suits you.

If you sign up and intend to try it for say a month or two, have a look at their agreement first to see how quickly you can terminate the contract. In particular with VTC.

Best regards,
Marcus

Hi Marcus,
I have a free one month subscription with lynda.com that came with the purchase of AE CS4.
I didn't know about vtc. I'll look into that.
Thanks!

I've used VTC training DVD's and reckon they are pretty good. Around $100 or so

Nice Jake

Small Suggestion...
In come to green screen its seems good. But you may have to pay a little attention for the shadow on her face or nose. Specially when she turn her face. It might become in big screen.

Good job :)

Hi Theiven,
Thanks for the tip. Yes, I have a lot to learn.
I'm waiting for my new lighting kit to come in, I know most of my problem is lighting the green screen correctly.

Ah Jake, this is what makes is all so much fun. If it was too easy it wouldn't make it rewarding when you do get it just perfect. Even the best environments (and I have worked them) can give you problems. There is no simple and perfect way. But experimenting leads to other cool things as well. I find that playing around with such ideas and concepts at least tells me what my capabilities are so that I don't overstate my capabilities to a new client in the future. I consider it preventative overselling of services - or simply, sell short he expectations and surprise them with more than promised. It seems to really work with clients.

excellent! Really makes me to want to get a studio setup and learn AE. I've been showing some of your "inventive" clips to Pam, I just have to laugh at your great ideas.
