Real Time Sales Report

I'm here for over two years and I have to tell you that Pond5 is a great place to sell stock media.
The only thing that needs to be improved (in my opinion) is the sales report system.

I've tried different stock sites and every one of them had real time sales report system.

I think that every artist would like to know right away if one of his/her file was sold.

Hmm I thought that contributors know instantly that they had a download.. Isn't that the way it should be?

How's the system then? Sorry I'm new to all this.. Can someone brief me up :) Thanks

oh ok so that's fair enough :) I actually surprised that we receive an email :) I'll just have to wait and see :)

@danielaagius you'll only recieve an e-mail and site mail on sales if you're preferences have a yes in the box.

I like the system as it is, we wait a few days for the sale not to bounce back, so no refunds. Other sites do refunds from time to time.

I used to get an email for sales but lately I don't.

I would hate to see a charge-back after payday. I prefer the actual method, a notification after the purchase cycle is complete.

I don't have any problem with the actual method as well. Just make sure you have a sale every day and you won't notice the delay ;)

I would still like to see reasons people are returning clips, even if it is credit card fraud.

This thread has been done a dozen times. P5 sucked up all the refunds for all of us for a long time. They finally decided to wait a few days after the actual sale to check for fraud or valid refunds. They were for a while holding the final report for a few extra days. last year after a similar thread P5 agreed to give sales information on a daily basis (after a few days delay for fraud). It works great for me. I trust P5 completely and love not seeing refunds.

I also agree with Scot it would be nice to know what the refunds were on your own footage, especially if the video was sub-par or had a problem that the buyer was not pleased. Credit card fraud is an issue only between P5 and the buyer.

If you are not seeing sales it's because you are not selling anything ;)

The actual file could be a 1920x1080 HD but the preview is much smaller. When the full size file is viewed there is a possibility that there is grain, noise, flickering etc that is not visible in the preview.
