Pond5 has the best system. I am sick and tired of refunds I get from other sites for "Buyer's Credit Card rejected"

I would really like to know if a buyer was not pleased after downloading one of my clips. It wouldn't make me happy, but I could at least improve my quality control as a result.

Knowing what the sold clips are used for would be interesting/useful info, but that's another topic.

I don't need to know the instant a clip sells, though. Seems the P5 system is good. I just know that I get happy when I get those emails, and I get stoked to get more better clips up!

Yea it would be nice to know why someone decided to return a clip. With this information we can improve our quality and see what buyers find important when they are buying clips.

Though i think its time consuming for p5 to process the information to us.

Hopefully, such returns would not be happening so often that the impact on the P5 staff and their schedules would be so noticeable. If it were (and even if it was only an occasional event) , passing on the information to the artists would ultimately increase the satisfaction of the buyers, improve the reputation of P5 (even the best can stand improvement, no?), and increase profitability.

A quick sitemail from P5 to an artist wouldn't take that much time, methinks. In fact, the more I methinks, the more it is that I am thinking I would like to push for that information to be forwarded to us.

Hi guys

If a clip has to be refunded, we rarely email the artist unless it was due to a technical issue with the clip. Most times refunds are for issues that don't really impact artists, usually buyer error, so sending you guys an email every time you could have made a sale but didn't for reasons outside of your control might be more frustrating than useful. Just know that when there is an issue that needs fixing, we will email you.

maybe an optional part where buyers can let us know why they buy a clip and what they are using it for
