4K Question

still weird that if it's the exact clip and different times that the sizes would ever get smaller, which it sounds like what miz did

If it was the same footage with little variation between the different length its unusual. Andy is right, I have found a clip with more green color will result in a larger file size than other colors.

I think because of the debayer, the green gets 2 pixel sites.

OK, it certainly is not the same clips - the second clip has tons of detail in the rocky cliff face - that it, maybe?

The clip that is 1.37 GB, 22 seconds long is a 4K version of this clip, but static (no crop/ tilt):

The clip that is 1.41 GB, 16 seconds, is a 4K version of this:

That makes sense actually. The second clip has lots more going on with a large variety of shades of gray as well as shadows.

Rumor;
"The Cinema EOS line will see a new camera or two for NAB in April, we’re told a lower cost 4K camera will be the star of the show."

Damn it, Don! I had just made up my mind... LOL, ;)

But what does "lower cost" mean to Canon?

Can you really see them trying to compete with the GH4? What would that do to the rest of the range?

Hummm 5D MK IV with 4K ... could be.

Why are people so desperate to jump into 4k. A fashion videographer of New York stated that some models are requiring contracts to state that no 4k filming is allowed. That's because they are afraid that 4k video will show them as they really are ....... not perfect.
