Vyborg is an ancient northern city that has preserved unique monuments of medieval architecture.Near the square, the remains of the rampart have also been preserved in the city. As a reminder of him, on two sides of the square are the streets of the Northern Shaft and the Southern Shaft, skirting the peninsula. Bronze statues were installed on the remains of the rampart at the bridge, on the site of the former fortress gate, dismantled in 1857.
