Does naming your clips help with finding your clips?

Does anyone know if naming your clips helps with people finding your footage? Could I just keep the original file name on the clip and just use key words or does naming your clips help with "SEO"?

Because the searches are also from Google, naming your clips a real name that describes the clip will help with finding it.

I think Pond5 renames the clips so i don´t think it would make any difference if you name your clips

I don't think they rename the files. Mine are still the same as I upload.

which is also what I keep as the title to help with searches.

Titles and descriptions seem to count a lot, as I found accidently doing some internal searches. Got results that made no sense until I looked at some mistakenly inserted sentences in the description. This internal. It is "said" external searches from outside Pond5 account for 50 percent of views (?). I DON'T think the actual file ID matters, if that is your original question.

My take is that It counts allot. i have sold a clip without even one keyword. i forgot to keyword it but it had a descriptive name and was found and bought just from the name.

@jake I don't think p5 actually makes the filenames available for public but only for us to keep track of the files.
If you download movies they are renamed to the ID of the clip. Thats why i don't think it would make any difference how you name your clips (for SEO purposes). Pond5 will rename them to a unique number anyway.

Yes, I see what you mean about being renamed to a ID.

I do think the title is part of the search and needs to be a logical name though.
