"1/125 - 1/16000 second in Movie Mode"

Is that means you can't set lower shutter speed than 1/125 ?

Crop factor 2X.

This is an alternative to GH4..

It looks to be designed more as a photo camera with 4K video capabilities thrown in.

There's already the lx-7 around.Dont know if this one will be better but i dont think so,it's another consumer camera fter all.

You meant LX100 ?
LX100 has a 4/3 chip inside. Not a cheap consumer product.

If it's like the GH4 or the GX7, both of which I own, it'll be darn good video camera. It will have lower shutter speeds, even the GX7 has Speed: 1/25 - 1/16000 sec in Movie Mode, That must be a typo. It looks like a GH4 Lite.

Yeah sorry i was speaking about the lx-100, don't know how lx-7 crossed my mind.Yes it seems like a cheap consumer product in every way,it just shots 4K.Being handy and flexible for stock or other work and having a 4/3 sensor doesn't make it professional in any way,it just makes it good given the circumstances.

I've just bought an LX-100. I got it because I realised that I would carry a camera around with me a lot more if I had something lighter and more compact than my heavy Canon 60D with 18-135mm lens, but I didn't want to compromise too much on image quality.

I live in a PAL country and I made the mistake of buying this camera from my local photo store, then realising that it was a PAL model and it didn't shoot 30/60 fps. I had thought the camera would be switchable between PAL and NTSC, like my Canon. Fortunately the store refunded my purchase, as their website had misleadingly claimed the camera did 30fps (they had copied the American specs). I then ordered the camera from a US site (B&H), and I now have the NTSC model, which arrived yesterday. I wonder what is Panasonic's reason for having separate PAL and NTSC models in this day and age?

I still love my AX100, and with the recent FW update it has 100mbps. Nice sturdy camera, reminds me of my hv30 from the beginning days. I definitely shoot a lot more having it with me pretty much all the time.

I do want a Full Frame 4k DSLR, wish something would come out that isn't $10k

Totally agree with you Scott 100%. So far everything I see coming is a bandaid and not really an improvement over what we already have. The AX-100 indeed reminds me of form and fit of my old Canon HV-20 also.
