Anyone tried the adapters to use Canon Lens on it yet? Reports say the Metabones IV does a good job.

Thanks! The camera is really sharp and puts out some great videos.

One thing I noticed when shooting in the HFR is that you are locked in P* mode? So it controls the shutter speed for you... I can't figure out how to get out of that mode!

You have to press the Fn button in this mode and set the camera for full manual exposure,it's the bottom right block in the menu where you set the hfr mode in manual (hfrM),aperture, etc etc.
Sony menus...Almost had a heart attack until i figured this out.

hehe there are so many damn buttons!!!! I love the camera most of the time :-P

One thing I really love is the built in ND. I'm almost about to pull the trigger on the a7rii, but no internal ND filter kinda kills it for me. Still on the fence for now, enjoying the rx10ii and trying to sell my ax100 at the moment.

I'm kicking back and forth on this one or the A7RII also. I don't have a problem with the price, just need to justify the capabilities. I would have to use the adapter to use all of my Canon Lenses. From reviews it sounds like both are great cameras. I'm still hoping for a break-through with Canon so maybe the RX10II is a better camera as a backup like the AX-100.

So sounds like you are very much happier with the RX than the AX? Photo side also?

the rx10ii I would say is a better back up for stock footage, but for run and gun the ax100 is still a video camera.. rx10ii is a photo camera first and feels like a dslr. It's great, because it slows me down while shooting and makes me think about all my settings more than shooting with the ax100.

I'm happier with the rx10ii for video and photo, but I never used the ax100 for photo... so I can't fully compare. It is nice having a stills camera with me at all times, because I never felt that the ax100 was a stills camera.

If the a7rii had built in ND filter I would have already ordered, that's the only thing killing me right now :-)

The 7rii also does not have the high frame rate slow motion capability either. Just the standard HD and 4K settings.
