He was born and grew up on Lake Baikal, Siberia. In 1998 he started scuba diving and underwater video. Kiril took part in many scientific research trips as scientist diver and underwater cameraman. Also he took part in film projects of Équipe Cousteau and many famous film companies like BBC, TBS, NHK, NHNZ, ZED and others.
