Sales drop !

I have been experiencing a sales drop the past week, and I am wondering why.
I am seeing all kinds of Black Friday or thanks giving discounts on every sound effect websites, sometimes going up to 80% off. But apparently not Pond5. Could that be it ? Customers are purchasing on websites offering all kinds of discounts and turning their backs on those like Pond5 who are selling full price in this period ?

How about you, are you feeling the same drop in sales lately ?

August: 10 sales
September: 8 sales
October: 10 sales.
November: 0

Haha, yeah me too, I am not a big fan of discounts.
Well, I am sorry to hear that others are experiencing drop in sales too, but on the other hand I am reassured...

Yep, big drop for me too, we're talking about it in the "2017 About Sales" topic

Several days this week was vacation time in the USA. Discounts for Black Friday on an international web footage site would have been silly and desperate. Black Friday is more of an impulse buy not a producer type sale. On another off site survey about discounts it is almost across the board that Artists are not in favor of discounts. P5 controls these discounts and normally is 5-10% max. We as Artists have little to no data where P5 has an incredible data base. They even get surprised at the roller coaster in sales. Anything more than now shows desperation. Like a person wearing a sandwich board advertising in front of a business ... pretty good indication that they are failing and won't be around long. The first thing that happens with a failing business is mass discounts and reduced marketing. To let ya know ... with over 20K clips, yes my sales are down some.
