Sony RX-10 II

Well I had 2 duff models of the RX10 mark 1 and the video was excellent. Sadly, the stills was terrible and both copies had faults. I will now invest in the A7r ll that has just been released as the stills side is stunning,

I have just started testing this awesome little guy. It has a ton of features. Stay tuned. I will update in the near future.

F*** it im getting mine next week.Tired of waiting for the "new" A7S or whatever it will be called.
I bet in a few months we will be up to our necks in slow motion clips in here but what the heck.

Well I'd be really interested to hear what AX100 shooters think of this camera.

That is the real key agreed ... AX-100 4K and photos compared to this new toy.

I'm returning my rx10 II, after shooting with it the last few days I don't see any benefit of it over the ax100 except it's a much easier photo camera. The video looks almost identical in when running it through premiere (I didn't do any side by side testing, but I've shot a lot with the ax100 and edited enough of the footage to know how it 'feels' working with it, the rx10 ii is the same)

I wanted something to upgrade my gear, not make it redundant. If I didn't own either I would go with the rx10 ii... it has a lot of great features for the video enthusiast.

I thought about selling my ax100 and keeping this, but the one, and pretty much only, thing I like about it is multiple ND filters, where the rx10 only has 1. I only use my ax100 for outdoor stuff, so I want more control over the light that way.

Gotta love that B&H return policy LOL

So you were not impress by its slow motion features.

Return Policy, Can't complain! Love it.. :)

Thanks for the comments dapoopta:

I wonder if the sensors are identical?
I presume though that there is some control on sharpness and contrast which is sadly lacking on the AX100.
The single ND is a real bummer.
I want one of those small 3-axis brushless thingamies that kk5hy has! This camera would be ideal - the AX100 form factor rules them out - so far
