Afghanistan/Paghman

Bala Bagh Palace, located in the scenic Paghman district near Kabul, is a historical retreat known for its lush gardens and serene surroundings. Once a royal getaway, the palace was built to serve as a summer residence, offering breathtaking views of the Paghman mountains and a peaceful escape from the city. The area is famous for its cool climate, beautiful landscapes, and European-style architecture influenced by Afghanistan’s modernization efforts in the early 20th century. Today, Bala Bagh remains a symbol of Afghanistan’s rich cultural heritage and a reminder of its royal past.

Afghanistan/Kabul/Kah Froshi

Kah Froshi (Straw Sellers’ Alley) is one of Kabul’s historic streets, known for its traditional markets and vibrant atmosphere. Located in the heart of the old city, this narrow alley has long been a hub for traders selling straw, animal feed, and other goods essential to daily life. The street is lined with small shops and stalls, where merchants carry on a trade that has existed for generations. Despite modernization, Kucha-e-Kah Foroshi retains its old-world charm, offering a glimpse into Kabul’s rich history and enduring market culture.
