Corry began playing guitar in bands at the age of 11 in Thunder Bay Ontario, continuing into his early twenties. In 1980 he began studies at the RCMT in Toronto; guitar, lute, piano, completing all Theory exams then Composition study, principally w. composer Timothy Sullivan. 1991 brought his ARCT in Composition. Continuing Composition study with an Entrance Scholarship to York University (1992), Corry's classes included those with James Tenney. An Ottawa move saw more bands and home recording!
