Michael Mastro grew up around the influences of classic rock, pop and jazz. As a kid he was exposed to a variety of musical styles ranging from Grand Funk, Parliament Funkadelic, Jimi Hendrix, Steve Earle and everything in between. He started playing the guitar professionally when he was 14 and soon after found himself supporting some great artists. Early on he looked up to guitar players like Steve Lukather, who have the ability to play well in various situations and on tons of recordings.
