I mostly create short, highly original instrumentals, which focus on simplicity rather than virtuoso playing. My early background was in the blues, so there are a few more traditional tunes and influences here too. These days I'm quite drawn to modern styles and the principle 'less is more', so tend to use very basic chord structures overlaid with understated guitar and synth textures.
