I started writing Music on the Commodore 64 in hexadecimal. Having to type a Hexadecimal Value for: Instrument, Octave, Note, Velocity, Attack, Decay, Sustain, Release, Filter(s) So one drum tap on a snare sound could look like: 01,02,1A,FF,00,05,10,A7,1F,00,00,00,00,00,00 The 8 bit processor meant I could play ONLY a few different notes at a time including lead, bass, backing, Drum, etc..
