Download FileZilla it's free and easy to use just drag and upload. All the info you'll need to upload using filezilla is posted on the upload new item page. www.filezilla.com

I see you've been a member here since 2007 and elsewhere since 2004.

Mike, you have fantastic stills on another site, so you obviously know how to produce quality work. But I'm betting it wasn't done with a cheap camera.

Also, there is a forum labeled "Pond5 Artists Forum" where buyers don't see discussions for artists only. You might try posting your questions there.

Dave, even though he is a member he can't post there until he has one clip posted. I also think your comments are unjustified. Either go back to bed or log off.

You are the king of unjustified comments, so I will bow to your wisdom...

Thanks Dave and Jason

I appreciate the comments and suggestions

Yes I shoot with the origional canon 5d (started off with the 10d) for still photos on the other site (almost 10,000 images there now)

I firgued for pocket change id try this little video cam. It had fairly good reviews so I go it to try.
At the very worse ill give it to my wife or kid or grandkid for their use

I ultimatly want the canon 5D II but until I can see my video will warrant the price im a bit leary

So im going to try this puppy first and then move up if it takes off as well as stock photography for me

Thanks again
Mike

I believe the FS300 is a Standard Definition Camcorder with a single 1/6 chip. You will have to use it under a bright sunlight. For every 100 sales in P5 less than 10 account for Standard Definition Clips. Try to get a high-end consumer HD camcorder even if you have to borrow it.

Look who's talking... He, he, he!

SD sales, as any other sales, are hardly related to content(but I guess you already know that). You can use the camera to capture SD clips and recompose them in HD(that is use multiple shots in a comp - not resize)

Have a look at the other thread talking about which camera to get for video stock. I completely agree, don't waste time on an SD camera. The reality is almost any 1920x1080 HD camera will work for video stock. My old Canon HV-20 has sold well over 400 footage clips here at P5 alone. Just stay away from low priced consumer SD cameras at this point in the game.
