Forest fire in my backyard

Here is a link to some of my photos from last night. Within a few hours over 6,000 acres had burned. The winds are picking up strong now so the flames are spreading fast. Most of these photos are from my back yard so it's not far away. Fingers crossed since our home is the closest to it.

Crazy awesome, Don! I know the feeling too well....stay safe, too bad about the damage, but congrats on the awesome photos and sale!

Most of these were from my home or a very short distance away. Over 40,000 acres destroyed so far. Over 50 buildings destroyed. Still out of control, only 15% contained.

Ya our home seems safe. As of this morning the firefighters thought it was controlled ... wrong. Fairview City of 1,200 people were told to evacuate immediately. Two areas erupted and are now completely out of control. I can see several large fixed wing dropping chemicals. There are several large 1,000 gallon drop helicopters and maybe a dozen smaller helicopters dropping.

Bad part is now there is another forest fire a few miles east of this one at the top of a 10,000 foot mountain where hundreds of cabins and campgrounds are.

Not a good time around here. More footage being processed now.
