Slow upload time?

FTP2/3 (same system) is very slow to pass files over to Write Info at the moment. I've had one file through after 18 hours and another took somewhat over 24 hours.

Everything is sloooowwww. Remember we are experiencing the effects of a Photo Tsunami. In case you did not notice, in a blink of an eye we have more photos and illustrations than video. This was a video site, now it is a photo site. There is also someone uploading a lot of videos. We have to wait for the tsunami to settle down. Videographers are now a minority here.

I got about 60 video clips flying around somewhere waiting to land in the good ole "write info" section. Hopefully this gets taken care of soon.

@pronewsfootage,,,boy do I have bad news for you....at this time if you can sail around the world in a shorter time than what it takes to upload and approve a single clip.

If you haven't looked lately the FTPs are overloaded with clips. Plus the fact that the P5 crew were at the sxsw show all last week which ended yesterday.

I've also uploaded (my first) 20 clips but they haven't shown up to be tagged yet. Hopeful that it will happen today.

Hi Guys

FTP's are a smidge backed up at the moment, but as we chew through the queue things should be speeding up.

Thanks Kennon.
I used the Pond5 uploading tool, do you know if this would slow down or potentially differ quality wise from uploading through FTP?

Right now only 1 of my 20 clips got through (which finished uploading more than 30 hrs ago), and it looks like image quality took a hit while processing it.

Hope all will work out OK!
