I just did a search for 'holding camera' and sorted by best match. The results are astonishing: only very few clips with people holding a camera show up in the first rows. It looks like the SE is looking only into the title, description and keywords are ignored.
E.g:
https://www.pond5.com/stock-footage/12035886
https://www.pond5.com/stock-footage/30949095
https://www.pond5.com/stock-footage/2897715
https://www.pond5.com/stock-footage/30748376
In all the above clips nobody is holding the camera, the keywords and description are right - the only problem is the search engine!!! It is outrageous to get such results while clips with people holding camera are sunk.
Pond5 team, please fix the search engine!!!
p.S: That could explain why people with good keywording, description and titles have lost sales. I do not know for how long this was happening but 2013 was a poor year hear on Pond5.

I believe that it is OK because the keywords in the title have highest weight when searching. BUT what worries me that the second weight in search on Pond5 are keywords in Description - see https://www.pond5.com/stock-footage/10910263/wild-male-african-elephant.html!

Search engine does not work at all. If I search my exact titles...the music tracks don't even come up.

The sorting doesn't work either. For example if you wish to sort by "sales", select "sales" (upper right on the tools bar) and click on the little arrow for ascending or descending order. Either way, it does not sort by sales (in this example). I have no idea what it sorts by. I am starting to wonder how buyers feel about this?

Geez, and I always thought the keyword tags took first priority...looks like I'm going to busy editing.

Funny ... now "hand holding camera" is on the top part of trending words ;)
.
SO NOW everyone do a search for "Despain" and lets see what happens ;)

On my system if I view with a sort order of say "Date downloaded", click and view a clip then press the back button the sort order has changed - usually to sales - so I have to re-sort each time. We need things to be sticky.

@ionescu The researchers must to narrow their search by adding more keywords such "holding photo camera". The results are much better. Of course sometimes synonyms works better too such "holding camcorder".
Just two words combined can result different kind of meanings. The researcher need to be good, clever, smart, intelligent, bright, skilful, competent, versed, able, ingenious, wise.... ;)
