the current displaying of search results makes it harder to get sales

hi.
i believe that the current modality in which
you display your search results i very detrimental
to the business on both sides.
when searching, all the found items display on
the page continuously. in order to see more items
you have to go to the bottom and wait for it to
load more items or click the 'load more items' at
the bottom.
sorry, but this is just dumb.
imagine surfing through the results to the point
that you have some 10,000 items that you went through.
that is literally impossible. the processor wownt handle that.
it's a hassle and its really annoying.
i tried to search for some items but keeping loading
them results over and over just becomes so annoying
that i end up giving up searching.
if, instead, you displayed the results on pages (like
it is obvious to do) then i can go directly to page
50 and see the results there (especially if i know
that at that page is a clip i remember i liked).
the way it is know, ther;s no way in accessing a page
of the results directly, but having to go through all
the gazillions other clips found before that page.
it is ludicrous.
it's not hard to realize that any client will get soon bored
and only stick with the results that are in the first page,
making it very difficult for those artists that got displayed
at the bottom (where the client will never get to, since he can't
select a specific page).
for analogy, imagine if google displayed it's results
like that, continuously, and not with the little 1 to 9 little numbers
on the bottom indicating page.
that would mean that if you want to get the results on page 100
(where you know it's something you want, or you just want to see
what results are there) you couldnt, you would have to
continuously forever scroll through the results, wasting
a LOT of time and a LOT of computer's resources.
and then, imagine the computer crashes and you have to restart
the browser. you just got to the 10,000'th item through
boringly scrolling them all, and now you have to start all over
spending another 20 minutes and going crazy,
when you could have done it in one second clicking
on the correspunding page number (which does not exist!).
so by displaying it so erroneously, you encourage people
on top to keep staying on top, and you keep people on bottom
with very few chances.
this is NOT equality.
i myself only got in this gae recently and did have 2 sales,
so i'm not ranting cuz im disappointed (i'm not) but i'm ranting
cuz it really seems SO obvious to me and i can't imagine
how you did this (what i consider to be a) mistake.
this is why the same music gets bought over and over, when
the distribution should be (if randomness was indeed to be pursued
when displaying results - and i think it should be) more or less
even.
lastly, i'd like to say that i see this kind of displaying results in
other sites too (including facebook) and it really seems stupid to me,
and when it comes to chances of gettng sales, i think it's not ok at all.
thanx for your time reading this.

it's like you're purposely trying to give a better
chances only to those on top.
if i didnt already have 2 sales i would think it's
a conspiracy...
when typically getting the search results, you can see the top results really easy, than you can see the bottom results still easy (by reversing the sort order) but there's no chance to see the middle segment without losing a lot of time and processor resources.
am i the only one noticing this??

I saw this also. After you've clicked on a clip and use the browser button to get back it also starts the list from the beginning! This is a huge problem! Using this method to browse pics on the internet just for entertainment is okay but not good at all if you are a buyer. Pond5 please change it back to the page browsing method it was much better.

Hello LivingroomClassics, thanks for posting here.
You can change the search results to pages by clicking on the blue settings wheel on the upper right hand side of the search results page. Select "infinite scroll" and set it to "off." From there you can go to paginated searching!
Thanks for your feedback, please let us know if you have any questions.

This ability to switch to pages is great - BUT, how do you tell someone BEFORE they get annoyed and go away? Make it more obvious somehow? Make the default as pages?
I totally agree with LivingroomClassics - I was recently searching for media, several times, and without stopping constantly to make new bins, write down clip numbers, or simply add to cart, it becomes totally frustrating having the constant scroll thing.

Can someone move this to the suggestion area for a vote. Make the default the page view and not infinite scroll. Then this same discussion does not have to happen over and over every couple weeks. Oh, ya there will be little no votes cause no one can find the other suggestion place ... seems P5 put this "suggestion" subject on the forum for us to easily use but now we are not supposed to use it? Has anyone said they really like the default infinite scroll? How many buyers have we lost due to difficulties in finding what they need accurately or being able to hit the back button and go back ONE PAGE and not to the beginning again. It is frustrating.

Let's face facts. The Development Team is only interested in developing new programs such as payoneer and languages but they sure aren't interested in fixing the mess they made of this site. To them (Carl & Jonas) everything works fine. Wonder if Marcus is watching the store.
Maybe if Carl & Jonas spent a little more time doing what should have been taken care before V2 was released we wouldn't have the problems we have today. Or was the early release of v2 to save face at the 2013 NAB?
A beautiful web site doesn't increase profits but a functional one does and this site is far from being 100% functional more like 60% if that.

All of this is a result of the new "responsive" website design "fad" which is a disaster in it's own right.

i asked Kennon who handles the forum and said that voting/polls
can be posted on a link he gave me.
so here it is:
