Minimum Pricing for 4k

If there is a minimum price for SD and HD, I think that it is reasonable to produce a minimum price for 4k. I propose Pond5 begin a $80 minimum price for 4k content, which will allow producers a chance to make the return on investment for the cost of gear. Please Pond5 admin, consider this adjustment to help us with stability in pricing.

I'll stand up and say I support this motion - it is not just the cost of gear, but a considerable increase in time spent rendering, uploading/storage costs, etc.

Same here. Gear, much larger cost of storage, etc. all play a role in the cost of the video.
$80 would be the absolute minimum for 4K
I don't have anything in 4K yet, but this year I have budgeted for it and I will have to price accordingly.
Prices on the site have already been diluted.

After starting to shoot 4k RAW with my fs700 and odyssey, it takes probably AT LEAST 15minutes to process 1 clip. This stuff is hardcore on the machine. The other thing that is challenging is that you aren't seeing anything real time, so there is almost a lot of guess work with the in and out points. I need to update my machine I think, this is out of control :-)
So price wise, with the Z100 those clips were so/so, the quality was like shooting on HDV codec, so I could see pricing those lower. They were also easy to edit and render was fairly simple and quick. Those I have at $179. Mainly because shutterstock has theirs at $299 and this gives me about the same $ from a sale.
From my Odyssey 7Q I feel like I'm getting HIGH QUALITY movie looking stuff. I haven't felt like a little school girl in a while, and after editing these files I do :-P. So these files I feel I'm going to be a little wild for a while and price at $299.
A lot also depends on the content. I won't be shooting ducks on a pond at 4k and wasting my time on a lot of that stuff, so my shots coming from the 7Q are going to be much more planned and time invested in getting a good shot.
EDIT:^^ Also, my machine processes the regular FS700 avchd in about 15-20 seconds for the same clip :-) I'm not running no TANDY here

I support a minimum of at least $80 or better still $99. If it to happen P5 needs to work with this soon before it continues to dilute. It's in the best interest of P5 to do it IMHO. With SS at $299 even $99 here at P5 is a very responsible minimum and still the lowest in the industry.

Fully support this too! I do not understand how P5 can approve 4K stufff at $10? I would like to view their figures how their $5 share can pay for their support, staff, storage etc.?

People sell at $10 because they need "exposure," "recognition," "self fulfillment" etc.
P5 however is a place for business. I support a minimum price on 4K clips.
