Did a DIY project building a motor with speed control to my Kessler Pocket Dolly Basic Slider. I´m pretty satisfied with my setup so far. Next week I will take this setup with me out in the wild to get some nice fall colors (hopefully!)

Nice video and clips!

Thanks! Hope this will enhance those static clips which I think is a bit boring!

I like the speed and style - nice looking footage.

I have been looking at a DIY motor system. Could I ask if you are using servos?

I got the items from ServoCity
The motor is a 45 RPM Precision Gear Motor - http://www.servocity.com/html/precision_robotzone_gear_motor.html
and a Controller - http://www.servocity.com/html/digital_manual_speed_controlle.html#.VBhVXUs4Suc
and some Pulleys and XL belts - http://www.servocity.com/html/pulleys___belts.html
Note that I would have choosen a faster motor 60 or 75 RPM if I ordered today!
All items costed me around $200, not bad when you look at the price for ready made motorized systems!

Thanks for that info - it was servocity that I was looking at. Did you order them in from USA?

Yes and they shipped the day after payment, so I´m quite satisfied with them :)

Good to know.

Have you rigged up something like this:
