Haven't sold anything on here yet

Hi guys,

Just wondering if there's anything I'm doing wrong.
I also have my tracks on other pages where they sell ok but on here I haven't had one sale yet.
Is there anything I'm doing wrong or missing?

It's a bad month for many people, maybe due to summer vacation, let's wait to see if buyers are back during September

YGTBSM, 6 and 12 files for sales and you really expect to have sales when there are millions of competition here at P5 and millions more on other agencies. It must be a joke. With 6 or 12 files even if they are the absolute best the chance of sale is slim to none.

Really don't want to burst your bubble but come-on, ask this question when you have 1,000 great files for sale and then other artists can give you some valuable critique. For now upload and then upload some more and when they are uploaded start to upload more.

Good luck but be realistic.

indeed. how can you expect sales with only 6 files?
and you're really new on the site too...give it time, and upload more (a lot more).

@RekindlePhoto

Sorry I have angered you. I was asking because I have identical library and amount of songs up on other pages where they do sell.
So according to you to achieve sales on Pond5 one must have a much larger library of music.

Takes time,it isn't just about size, and you seem to have joined p5 exactly 3 weeks ago.In such a small amount of time even having views is an achievement.Plus you joined on the worst period for sales at least according to the general consensus.

I'm pretty new to this myself. I've noticed some difficulty in making what people want as opposed to what I want to hear. How does one become inspired to write music that isn't in the 'mood' of the musician?

No anger at all, it is a good question after you have many hundred or thousands of files here. Here at P5 there are over 360,000 music files. You have 6 only. With music I believe it is much more difficult to be found in a search. There is no photo, picture, thumb to give a quick look at what the file is. Keywords and descriptions are mostly "feel good" ideas or feelings along with some genre ideas. Buyers have to take time to actual listen to a good part of files that turn up in a search. That takes time and most buyers won't listen to a couple hundred music files to find the one that is needed. With photos or footage a buyer can very quickly browse the thumb of each files. Reviewing a few hundred photos or footage files can be relatively fast.

Great to hear that with 6 files at other agencies you have sales. That's great and means you must be making great music. Now to get a higher search result at P5 is the challenge.

So My suggestion with noise and music files is the more the better. There is more chance of your file being shown higher in the search results when you get to 1% than the current .007%. It really is a numbers game.

I wish you the best!
