Extended License

Several years ago at NAB the leadership of P5 said they were looking at an extended license option after SS started doing it.

It's time. I get several high priced $200-$300 HD sales each month at SS.

Exclusive license is probably not an option, the price would be far too high. An extended license to allow use of footage across different offices in a company as an example would be feasible. Currently a clip bought by CNN can and will eventually be shown on every news agency in the world as an example. It's like the cell phone clip from Texas showing the man shot by police. The local news bought it for $100 and it is showing worldwide over and over and over. (the guy was stupid for selling it for $100, should have been $10,000).

It's easy, look at the competitors who have an extended license, they have shown it works and buyers like it. Do the same.

I hope they don't drop pricing to offer a single project option.

Well,

May be they try to imitate B-Roll, a few footage in a single project!! Like a package deal. Right.

A package would be ok if the prices are similar to B-Roll.

what's the EL license for SS look like? what's the difference between that and regular? anyone have a link to the details?

I regularly sell HD clips there for well over $300. Not sure where the link is. At NAB a couple three years ago SS started it and it is doing well.
