I am just starting out as a contributor to this site. When I upload my 3 versions of one of my videos do I have to tag and put in all the info for all three listings?
It would be nice to only have to fill the info out for one and have the other two automatically have the info when the curator merges them into one listing.
How is everyone else doing this? Is everyone tagging and filling out the info for all three uploaded clips?

I upload fourteen versions of each clip (at least the ones that start out at 1080p), I've often wondered if there was a way to merge them into one listing. As it stands now, my library (especially the CG section) is full of many identical thumbnails and they seem to be distributed randomly, sometimes with one clip's versions scattered over several pages. It must look really messy to someone browsing my library. It would be nice to merge all the versions of a clip into one thumbnail / listing. If any admins are reading this and have some advice for me, I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

» Uploading Multiple Formats
If you have footage that has been prepared at several different resolutions (PAL, NTSC, HD, etc), then you will have to submit each version individually. Once all versions of your file are approved and online, send an email to contact@pond5.comwith a list of the clipID's you would like associated and we will group them as multiple versions of the same file.
Sometimes it pays to read the video upload guide lines.

hi jason, yes i know that is the procedure and i did read BOTH the video guidelines and the faq's before i started uploading anything. i was trying to see if there was a shortcut to having to copy and paste the same info into several format uploads. didn't know if people had any tricks or advice. on other sites that i sell my stock on, you only do the tagging procedure once and that info is applied to HD, NTSC, and PAL files automatically. i have several hundred files that i am uploading and i am trying to save from doing repetitive work. looks like there is no way around doing the same task for 3 files that will eventually be one from what i am understanding of all these replies.

You can get the help you need by calling this number 646-233-2155 in the morning and asking the P5 crew.
The answer to multiple formats wasn't directed to you but others who haven't read the guidelines. Without naming names.

No, I actually had read the guidelines top to bottom, but that was way back when I first started contributing (years ago) and I was only doing NTSC clips back then. Only in the past year have I begun covering all the major formats and since I didn't remember the guidelines mentioning anything about multiple formats, I hadn't revisited them. I'll take another look though, thanks for the tip.

@zr_media,
That happened last year to help those who wanted to organize their multiple formats in one place. Some artist also priced their formats lower depending on size. But not all of us feel doing so is worth the time and effort to upload different formats and price each at a lower price than the original.
