Pond5 has spoiled me!

I've been thinking about branching out and posting our stuff on other stock sites. But all the others have such a cumbersome and time-consuming process to post anything! "Send us a sample," then "upload a lo-res version for us to evaluate" then finally "upload the original".

You know what? Screw them. They don't get it. Every extra minute it takes me to post a clip increases my overhead.

I'm glad P5 has a thorough review process...and I"m also glad they're not too rigid and work to make uploading here quick and painless.

Maybe we could make a little more cross-posting elsewhere. And we even got "vetted" on another site (don't I feel special) But to heck with it. For me, it's not worth the added trouble.

I have been trying to soft spoken-ly say that now for the last 3 years! - I agree 100%! :)

It's real hard to upload to a site when you feel you're getting the short end of the shaft. I'm very happy here.

Or when you are getting the full shaft.

I do upload certain types of clips to other sites. For "strategic purposes"... But pond5 produces the highest profit for me.

Its hard to take IS seriously when I have to explain to the reviewer the basics of CG construction. Support emails are only partially read or not responded to at all, their site goes "offline" a lot (here recently.) When I briefly tried to upload to IS it took me roughly the same amount of time uploading as it did to make 50 extra clips for pond5.... Because they wanted screenshots, extra screenshots or property releases, for each CG clip I made. Insane... I know indie amateurs who know more about this business than their "staff." What do you expect from a photosite.

Well said, P5 is the greatest!

I'll second that! sold 3 clips here on Pond 5 and they were still in the system for approval over on IS. Have to say Pond5 has given me the kick where it's needed to get more clips uploaded, where as other sites make me feel why should I bother!

Yeah, agree P5 is the best. Just had BME and won a $50 credit as well!

Easy to upload, fast reviews(comparatively), steady sales, good commissions, interesting community, just a great place to do business.

Amen!
