The full frame is what I am waiting on. Hopefully Canon Wow's us at the end of the year with something.

CanonRumers says the 5D Mark III will make an appearance after the first of the year in a few shows and ship in the spring of next year.
Rumors are full-frame, auto-focus while shooting footage, 120fps in 1080, 180fps in 720, and better low-light. No flip screen, although they expect it to change to the same screen ratio as the T2i, 60D, etc.. with the higher resolution screen.

All it needs to become a best seller for stock shooters and filmmakers is the ability to connect to Ninja or Nanoflash devices. IMO

That would definitely be a big +.

Sony should rush to Cape Hatteras with this camera and a NX70 to prove that they are really weather/rain proof.
I just saw a review that said these 2 things about the A77: 1) No audio level control and 2) To use the camera in full manual control while shooting video, the autofocus has to be turned off.
For under a $1k. With less features nor weatherproofing but "same video quality":

but I am going to need a full weatherproof camera if I plan to continue going out in storms.

If this is true: "The A77 bit-rate for 60p 1080 is 28Mbps." This camera will definitely have a better AVCHD video quality than the GH2 24Mbps @ 24p and 17mpbs @ 60i.

Well I shoot with the 5D MKII and the 7D. I don't think Sony will have to work too hard to overcome the 7D. Compared to the 5D the 7D is good for video but a lot of noise in photo. 5D is by far the better camera that the competition needs to go after.
