1080 vs 720

just bought a panasonic GH2. makes great pictures. but shoots in 720p or 1080i. I hate interlaced so I shoot 720.

anyone see a big difference in buying habits with regard to 1080 vs 720?

Just because it's 1080 does not mean it's a quality camera with large sensor...

what I didn't see was any comps of 24p vs 30p...

Shoot in 60i and learn how to convert to 30p so then you will have 30fps 1080p.

Just deinterlace in your editing process. Thats what I would do in your shoes.

Yes

Unless things have improved greatly, the problem lies with fast-moving edges. Because the two fields occur at different moments, there will be some visible blurring or remnant combing. On slow or static stuff it's not really so bad. Not great, but OK.

I'd like to learn of a solution for deinterlacing that deals with this, as a lot of my old DV material has issues that I can't stand. But it can't be too spendy, either....
