ULTRALIGHT FLIGHT THROUGH THE UTAH DESERT LINK
I just posted my video from this weekend flight through what is called the San Rafael Swell and the Grand Canyon of the Rafael in south east Utah. An absolutely incredible trip that the only way to see it is by flying an ultralight. We landed on an abandoned mining dirt runway and found dozens of ancient Indian petroglyphs. Too bad I can't attach photos here yet.
Anyway the stock footage from this trip will be here at P5 within the next couple of days.

Wow that looks like a lot of fun and absolutely stunning scenery. How cold is it up there at this time of year?

Crazy amazing! Makes me yearn to go back to the desert. Very enviable.
Is that area connected to or related to The Wedge?

Yes the Wedge is the overlook above where we were flying. One of our flights we few ten feet above the lookout towards the gorge and immediately you go from ten feet above the ground to a thousand feet above the ground. What a rush.
When we took off in the morning it was about 34 deg F and warmed up to about 42 deg F. I wear insulated bib and a cold weather coat like snowmobiling. I also wear a helmet to keep my head warmer. Not bad at all. In fact it's safer to fly there this time of the year cause the air is heavier and more stable with less turbulence and thermals.
