Broke My Back

Well too aggressive and too low flying. This morning I hit a small hidden power line in a field I was making a landing in. The chute tangles in the lines, threw the plane in the air and dropped me about 20 feet straight down rolled over upside down. I unhooked from the seat belts, rolled onto the ground and realized my back was hurt. As I laid perfectly still in the plowed field I called 911 for an ambulance. After a couple hours on a back board and a CAT Scan I was told I compressed fractured two or three disks. Dang it'll cost about $2,000 to fix the aircraft before I can fly again .... if my wife doesn't kill me first LOL. Twelve units of morphine, and other pain killers I was sent home and told to rest for at least six weeks. Dang, fun over for a while I guess. At least no permanent injuries, just a lot of embarrassment and lots of pains. Doing great ;)

Damn it Don!
First that 3 wheeler and now that kite of a plane?
You need to give up that crap before you get killed.

Well glad you're back home.

Wow, what a stunt! Could have turned out much worse... Get well soon!

At least your keywording will become perfect now with all that time to practice, and you got quite some story to tell once everything is healed up :).
