@TapTapMusic Thanks for the reply well it sure surprised me, at first I was like cool I sold a business lic, but that happiness quickly diminished when i saw what the cut was. I know POND 5 is a business I get that, but we are providing what helps run that business and unfortunately it has become a very unfair cut for the artists which is quite different then what it was originally built on. O how I hate change ...

@SFXDude yeah, it's a complete farce. They should be eating half the coupon that's for sure. This change is not fair by a long shot. But, they can do it because they hold all the leverage. I stopped uploading the moment they introduced this price change.

@TapTapMusic Same here - I'm no longer uploading anything to this site and am instead switching to alternatives (which are now far superior and fairer to their contributors with a 45% split).
I also raised the prices of all of my items here. Sure I now get fewer sales, but for the few sales I get at least I receive near the same amount of income as I previously earned. And an added bonus, Pond5 are now receiving fewer sales from me ;)

I think it's just a matter of time before P5 goes fully as a subscription service, then you'll barely see any money. I'm seeing more & more video producers who use a lot of music regularly moving towards subscription services. Two major YouTube shows I watched just recently moved to subscription. It just makes sense for them on a financial base.

I think you might be right, guscave. We don't have to look any further than ourselves - many of us are now using software on a subscription basis.

I'm now receiving less than a 30% share on my music track sales. What is going on?

That's right, it's become very frustrating
Video price of 50 dollars profit from it only 16 dollars !!
