I saw a clip yesterday of two bears in a Los Angles neighborhood having a tussle. What they would give for a fish. We just got back from Ketchikan with lots of bear clips, could have just driven down to LA for something really unexpected.

Understood gmproductions .. happens here, similarly. Better clips are close to home, by happenstance, whereas going out to get epic shots is too often a waste of time and disappointing. Today, as dusk deepened, walking back with berries in a bucket, I startled, and was startled by, 6 ruffed grouse in the berry bushes and moss. Trotted back to the house quickly, grabbed the M4 and spare batteries, and worked a bunch of compliant grouse as best I could, as it got darker. Came back and edited a couple .. this is one, as hot off the press as it gets.

Replaced the other ECU render as I had a setting wrong and also removed the first second where the shaky camera looked like bad stabilisation. Bear was too close and too sensitive for me to properly deploy tripod, so I had the camera balanced on it like monopod, and was too close to bear (could not zoom out, using 100-400). There is such thing as too close.
