Keyword questions.

First of all I hate doing the keywording:)
But if I feel a clip needs more than 25 I get there, however if a clip does not need more than 15 or 20 I just put these, I think I was clear enough.... sorry my bad english...I think the problem is not the quantity of keywords but on the relevance of these, if you limit the keyords for example to 10 will always be someone who will break the system using hot keywords to attract attention.
You said (See so it will be an advantage to the buyers when they don't get a bunch of stuff that does not fit there search) yes I agree that, but with 10,15,20 or 25 keywords that will always happen either by mistake or by malice.
That tells me is the experience of 60 years of life and 4 years of images in stock.
Remember ( that a picture is worth more a thousand words, but the reverse is also true )
Please do not forget that not everyone here speak english language and a word that has relevance here in Europe may not have the same relevance in USA, and P5 does not sell only to the USA sells for all World.
I think we have to concentrate on producing more and better videos and not be here discussing the sex of Angels :)
The site IS implemented a system of keywords that is a complete nonsense where the words that leave has nothing to do with the image, result all go crazy and sales were down.

Well said, I totally agree that it's the relevance of the words and not the number. That is hard to patrol other than during approval process of video as well as keywords for quality. We all need to back off on naming individuals although it does affect each and everyone of us trying to sell. Yes indeed there are hundreds and maybe thousands of clips that have totally bogus keywords and they need to be cleaned up not allowed to stay as they are. And, I thought all angels are female .. the male ones are all devils ;)

I was not giving you a hard time for your English just wanted to make sure I got the point you were making correctly. I think 25 would discourage the people who have all the non relevant keywords. For instance if they put 25 non relevant keywords it will have even less of an impact on us all. I get it that some people don't feel like they have done there job unless they do it to the T, and so they can have 50 and they do because they are trying to do a good job. An the thing you bring up about keywords for Europe is great I did not think of that. Unfortunately it sounds like the way it's going to be will effect people trying to do a good job of the task adversely as well as the cheaters.

Excellent points. I had not considered that having more than 25 key words would be detrimental. I hope we'll be given some grace, 2000 clips is a lot of work... That said in future I'll keep it to under 25 words.

I'm new here (just over a month now) and didn't know about the 25 keyword limit until I saw this thread last week. Since I have just under 150 clips, I went back and editted approx 100 of them, all I can say is that my number of views took a dramatic upturn as soon as I did. And we all know, more views will eventually be reflected with more sales.

How do you see the number of views? It may be a stupid and inappropriate question - but I simply cannot find it... Thanks.

You can go to Overview and click on "dashboard"
That will give you the number of page views, sales etc.

Also if you click on "uploads", make sure the verbose box is checked.
That will give you the number of views for each clip. also a lot of other data you may or may not care about.

So I'm supposed to put the entire dictionary in so that I get as many sales as people that have 50 keywords? When the rule is 25?
